Revolver and Rubber Soul have always been linked together.  George Harrison even once called them, "volume 1 and volume 2."  Then it's quite appropriate that they finished within one point of each other (RS: 106.36, R: 107.36).

Much like RS had the number 41 song, Revolver has songs 42 and 43.  Whereas RS had just the one in the top 40 and two in the bottom 40 however, Revolver has two in the top 40 (including George's best song to date) and just one in the bottom 40 (the absolutely ridiculous Yellow Submarine).  John's Indian-influenced, Tomorrow Never Knows, really works for me.  George's Love You To, not so much.

After Revolver, the Beatles metamorphosis is completed, leading them into arguably the greatest run of music ever created.
