My 20 Questions for the NBA

Image
Now that I can start talking NBA again, here are some questions that I hope are answered by the end of the season.   -After coming off a career year, can Kris Humphries keep the momentum going?  OK I'm joking.  Hump got more pub this past year than most will get in a lifetime, and none of it was basketball related.  Is he itching to get back on the court to show he was just more than Kim K's bitch?  Or will the heckling get to him, and he be in Europe in 2 years?  Or does he not give a shit anymore due to him being a D-List celebrity now?  Either way, enjoy the picture. -Can Andrew Bynum and Greg Oden stay healthy for a full season?  Both teams sorely need their bigs. -Speaking of the Blazers, are they going to stop screwing around and make the proper moves to become a legit force in the West (Notice I didn't say contender)?  Whatever this entails they need to do it because everyone is afraid to play in Portland, now they...

Rich History of the Ring of Honor Championship

Image
If you missed part one, (a detailed look at Davey Richards) click here . First off, anyone familiar with this topic may think "rich history" may be a bit of a stretch.  Sure the ROH title only goes back to 2002, but the men that carried this championship, and the matches they had, is nothing short of spectacular.    Low-Ki: Formally Kaval and Senshi, his reign wasn't that long, but he always had terrific matches and was the top babyface at the time.  So a perfect choice for initial champ.   Xavier: The one black eye on the list.  All but the most die-hard fans, are saying "Who?"  and that is precisely the point (granted he's not that bad of worker, just not champion material).  Many people think it should have been Chris Daniels who was the top heel at that point, and I can't disagree.  Oh well, you can't win them all.  Samoa Joe: His reign was nearly two years, he was thought to be unstoppable, and he had the first 5 star mat...

A New Breed of Champion

Image
Some people may be thinking "What's Ring of Honor?"  Simple.  It's a no-nonsense wrestling organization that focuses on the in-ring product instead of gimmicks, storylines, etc.   The one man who personifies this more than anyone right now, is Davey Richards.  I've already stated that Davey Richards is one of the best wrestlers alive . So it should come to no surprise to anyone that Davey became Ring of Honor champion this past summer.  He could easily be confused with an MMA fighter due to his brutal kicks and strikes; Davey is anything but fake.  He is skilled in many forms of martial arts and combat fighting.  And yes he is a professional wrestler!  Watch this video .  Richards is a bad ass from the word "go".  I went to an ROH event back in '06, and I had never heard of Davey at the time, after watching his match you can believe me I never forgot his name.  His intensity was incredible.  ROH released a...
