My Least Favorite Wrestlers

There is a lot of shitty wrestlers out there, but these are the ones that are prominently featured on TV.  Let's cut right to the chase.  Hulk Hogan- I'm bringing out the big guns right away.  Hulk hasn't been relevant since '96 when he formed the nWo.  (Not counting his match with Rock because I hated that match.)  Even then he was, and will always be a crappy in-ring performer.  Now all he does is take away valuable TV time from young guys, and puts out crappy TV shows. Sting- I was never a WCW guy, and it does appear that Sting was cool when he was reinvented as "The Crow" character.  Hell I'm sure flattop Sting was pretty awesome in 1990.  However he drives me nuts in TNA.  He wrestles a part time schedule, and always is in the main event of every Bound For Glory.  Again, this is taking time away from the guys that are actually still good, and not being a ridiculous Joker knockoff. Goldberg-Again not being a WCW fan, I wasn't w...

Singers That Make Me Cringe

We all have a song(s) that we hear that just make us want to puke.  Or, at the very least change the channel.  Some people can't stand not only a artist's song, but the sound of that person's voice in general.  If you ever want to torture me, here's the bands to do it with: Macy Gray- Not only does she have the worst voice EVER, her two second cameo in the original Spider-man movie is the only blemmish on the first big superhero blockbuster.  Thank goodness she was only a one hit wonder, but that one hit was played over and over and over.  Dave Matthews Band- This is probably a controversial pick for a lot people, but I've never heard a DMB song that I liked.  I don't even like his stupid cameos in all the new stupid Adam Sandler movies. John Mayer- Another controversial pick I'm sure.  John was named one of the biggest douche bags in the world, but that's not the point here (not that I'm disagreeing).  Girls think his voice is "se...

TNA Impact House Show In Ottumwa

Image
It was pretty much awesome having a major wrestling organization have a show in my hometown.  I'd seen a TNA house show before in Des Moines, and although it was good, the roster present was kind of weak.  It was great to see AJ Styles for the first time.  I also saw RVD for the 4,848 time, and that's not a bad thing.  The main event was Aries vs. Angle, which I'm hoping is a precursor to the new TV feud.

Spotlight On Wasting Light

I've already declared Wasting Light the best album by the Foo Fighters.  Now I'm going to tell you why.  ( Part one )

Fan Favorite Foo Fighters

I've wrote plenty about the Foo Fighters, but decided to break them down some more.  This is part one, where I rank the albums according to multiple reviews; basically which ones were/are the most important.  Part two will consist of a more in-depth look at their number one album.  1.  Wasting Light '11 Signature Track: Walk 2. The Colour and the Shape '97 Signature Track: Everlong Honorable Mention: My Hero 3. There Is Nothing Left to Lose '99 Signature Track: Learn to Fly 4.  In Your Honor '05 Signature Track: Best of You 5. Echoes, Silence, Patient, & Grace '07 Signature Track: The Pretender 6. Foo Fighters '95 Signature Track: I'll Stick Around 7.  One By One '02 Signature Track: Times Like These

Is Ring Of Honor A Sinking Ship?

I'm guessing a chunk of fans were like me, and didn't have HDNet.  Therefore when ROH was sold to Sinclair Broadcasting, they were absolutely stoked to see ROH on national television.  Unfortunately, in hindsight that may have been it's undoing.  It took me a few months to finally admit to myself that the ROH programming is actually quite average and at times, boring.  But why is that?  ROH used to have the best shows match for match, of any wrestling promotion.  Some people say it's the booking, and yeah I gotta say there is some truth to that.  But a great roster can overcome bad booking to an extent, and the ROH roster just isn't that great at present time.  The beginning of the end was Glory By Honor in 2009.  Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson both left on this night.  So not only did you lose a top five greatest ROH competitor ever (Nigel), but you also lost the most beloved and influential star the company ever had (Danielson...
