Here we are with the latest CS album.  And.... yeeesh.  It's ranked last; by a nice margin.  Now I mentioned how shitty Blender was, and how disappointing it is.  This one I can't be as disappointed in for two main reasons.  1. CS aren't in their prime anymore.  (I don't think anyone can argue this.)  2. I haven't listened to this album enough to truly gauge how I feel about it.  Translation: if/when I look at this album again, some songs will inevitably creep upward because they can't go down any lower.

As you can see a lot of them I ranked beside each other, which is basically me saying, "Yeah I don't know what to do with these.  They're not terrible, but I don't love them either."   Honestly the first time I listened to this album, I hated it.  Most of the album sounded nothing like CS, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in theory, but this music was boring.  Lyrically it hearkens back to "angry" CS of the Blender days.  As you know I don't like that.  

They booted their lead guitar player during the six year hiatus between albums, which maybe is part of the reason I don't like the overall sound of this one.  They also kept delaying the release, so there may have been many things going on that we don't know about that contributed to departure of the CS of old.  Do I even need to mention that they had zero top 20 songs on this album, and four bottom 20?  Ironically the latter ties Blender, so even Blender is still on par with the worst of the worst.
