What a unique album this is statistically. It has SIX songs in the top 20, which is more than any album I've done for any band thus far. (The self-titled album, which is the top ranked album, only had four in the top 20.) After that there is a small drop to 33 and 35 for Needs and Dandy Life, followed by the biggest drop I've found yet of 50 whole slots down to 85's Tremble. (The song which regained some life in 2008 by being a part of the Twilight soundtrack.)
So if you were to judge this one by it's top eight songs, you're looking at potentially CS's best album. And it's tough to argue that. Run is most famous for being the song played during the credits of Varsity Blues, but even without that credit it's still utterly amazing. (Hence why it's three.)
No More, No Less is probably controversial at 12 because it's a pretty deep cut that one day just snuck up on me and knocked me on my ass with how great it is. Especially controversially since I ranked it right above fan favorite's Heavy and She Said. Right ahead of that is Crown and Compliment, which are probably a bit suspect to some as well, but maybe not quite as much since they were popular enough to both be included on the live album Home.
If this one did end up being number one mathematically I would have been cool with it. Because even though the sentiment isn't there as with the self-titled album, this one is still a masterpiece in it's own right.
