10. Wayman Tisdale (2)
11. Arvydas Sabonis (24)
12. Spud Webb (87)
13. Hot Rod Williams (45)
Honorable Mentions:
Benoit Benjamin (3), Tyrone Corbin (35), Mario Elie (160), Bill Wennington, just kidding.
Remember there were 7 rounds back then, which is why there is a "160" next to Mario Elie. Although the '84 draft (Jordan year) was more heralded, this actually had more All Stars than '84 did.
It's also strange that the best player from the draft, barely made the lottery (Malone). Which in hindsight looks a lot worse because there was a lot of garbage in the lottery. (Who the hell is Keith Lee or Jon Concak? You know who drafted Keith Lee? The Bulls, so technically Malone could have been drafted and played with Jordan. Granted this almost would have certainly changed the '87 draft so no Pippen. Your call on that one Bulls fans.)
Bottom line: this was a strong draft despite the busts in the lottery. You got hall of famers, all stars, dream teamers, key role players on championship teams, iconic players for intangible reasons like Spud Webb or Manute Bol, (strange that the tallest and one of the shortest players ever were drafted the same year; and eventually became teammates) cool nicknames like "Hot Rod," "Mailman," "Oak" or even "Spud" for that matter. AND.... THE FROZEN ENVELOPE!
