I've been avoiding doing this one just due to the fact that it's one of the most historic/infamous, fill any other adjective, draft ever.  Also due to the general population's bias's, any draft Jordan was in would be called "greatest" even if the rest of the draft sucked.  Fortunately this one didn't suck.

Speaking of "suck" the mother of all busts Sam Bowie is on the list.  He was somewhat unfairly scrutinized more than any other number 2 pick ever.  Let's face it, it's usually all on number 1.  He never played a full season, but he did if respectable stats a few years that he did play 60-70 games.  Does that account for being picked over Jordan?  No, but I feel bad for the guy.

He wasn't the only lottery bust either, Melvin Turpin?  Lancaster Gordon?  Both of these guys (picked before John Stockton no less) were out of the league by '90.  Those busts aside, this draft has 4 of the greatest players ever, and Thorpe and Willis had really respectable careers as well.  (I had a hell of a time ranking them because their careers were so similar.)  After that it's a pretty big dip in a talent, but from a top-heavy standpoint, this is one of the best.
