Had injuries not played a huge role, Grant Hill was on pace to be one of the greatest players ever. 25.8 PPG 6.6 RPG 5.2 APG were his '00 stats. Or how about: 20.2 PPG 9.8 RPG 6.9 APG from '96. Or '97's 21.4 PPG 9 RPG 7.3 APG. Hill probably got the closest to anyone of averaging a triple double, and yes that includes LeBron. However with all that said, another guy (ironically also flirted with averaging triple doubles) Jason Kidd, had the better overall career than Hill. (Also ironic, both retired within days of each other.)
Big Dog Glenn Robinson put up great numbers his whole career, but only made 2 All Star teams. That should be a red flag, and the reason I gave the nod to Eddie Jones' 3 All Star teams plus 1 All NBA 3rd team.
The steal of the draft was Voshon Lenard who was picked at number 46, who's best season was a respectable 14, 3, and 2. Sharone Wright was the biggest bust, who put up decent numbers, but was never healthy enough to finish a season and retired after 4 seasons.
The combo of Kidd and Hill, plus the rest of the remixed top 8 or 9 makes this a solid draft. It won't pop out at you, but it offered up some supreme talent.
