Enjoy This Moment Wrestling Fans
Look at this link. I may need pinched. Today is Monday, and as we found out with Christian's first title reign, this could be over tomorrow at the Smackdown TV tapings. Yes, Punk has been the man for six months, but Daniel Bryan won the damn title last night! Part of me wondered if he really would. I mean Vince may thought it would have been funny to tease us, but holy crap it happened.
Like I said, he could very well lose it tomorrow, and be jobbing to Brodus Clay for the next year. But just the fact that two "wrestlers" not sports-entertainers are at the top of the mountain is quite a thrill. This is seriously comparable to the end of Wrestlemania XX when Benoit and Guerrero were the champs; just on a much smaller scale. But it is that important. The two workhorse champions getting recognized at the same time.
Congrats to both. (One small side note, fellow ROH alumn Evan Bourne is the current Tag Team Champion, so not too shabby either)
