Wrestlemania Preview
Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Wrestlemania will start in minutes, so here's my predictions. For my other Wrestlemania blog about HBK go here.
Edge vs. Del Rio World Heavyweight Title- I foresee a Christian heel turn costing Edge the match. Followed by a Christian vs. Edge feud (duh) 10 years after the original.
Cena vs. Miz WWE Title- As much as I would love to see the Miz retain, how do you bet against Cena at Wrestlemania? It's pretty much like betting against the Undertaker. New champ: Cena
Orton vs. CM Punk- This should be the match of the night. Probably the two best workers in the WWE going at it. Hopefully this will be a long feud, but if not it should still be a fantastic technical battle.
Undertaker vs. HHH- Undertaker obviously. However, if one person was going to beat him, it surely would be Son In Law. However the safer bet is Taker, and that's where I'm leaning.
Lawler vs. Cole- Is this match really necessary? Geez, WWE always has to have at least one match on TNA level of stupid. I would say that Cole would cheat to win, but with Stone Cold as the ref, you gotta go with the babyface, and it's King's first Wrestlemania match. Yes, you read that right.
Rey vs. Cody Rhodes- Rey is probably due for a surgery or sabbatical of some kind, so I'm going with Rhodes winning, or if not winning, giving him a serious beat down after the match. Also, should be a strong matchup.
6 Person Tag Match- Vince thinks it's necessary to have a celebrity wrestle every year, and this is no exception. I feel bad for Ziggler and Morrison, two strong workers, who are clearly an afterthought to some stupid reality star. Winner: irrelevant.
Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan US Title- In a last minute substitution, Sheamus is replaced by Nigel McGuinness, and the match is changed to an Iron Man Match. Holy crap I only wish. I'll go with Sheamus just because Vince is in love with giant muscular men.
8 Man Tag Match- I would assume that Corre would get the W. However, maybe they'll be breaking up soon? If that was the case, the breakdown could start tonight. Probably not, Corre wins.
Does that card seem a tad small to anyone else? Where's Kofi and Dibiase? Only three title matches?????
